took 30 years, but the sidekick finally gets to be the hero. This new
spinoff of "Doctor Who" puts the spotlight on Sarah Jane
Smith(Elisabeth Sladen), traveling companion of the third and
fourthDoctors. Now working as an investigative journalist, she
fightsotherworldly enemies with help from her young neighbor (Yasmin
Paige),adopted son (Tommy Knight) and a couple of gadgets left behind
by theDoctor.

For
those who watch for the soap, not the medicine, this episode is
averitable Suds-O-Rama. Callie (Sara Ramirez) confronts Izzie
(KatherineHeigl) about her tryst with George (T.R. Knight). Richard's
(JamesPickens Jr.) 18-year-old niece refuses further treatment for
hercancer. And Norm (Edward Herrmann) botches a "you're dying" speech
--but that's OK; he gave it to the wrong patient. Oops.
